Conflicts

“Your conflicts, all the difficult things, the problematic situations in your life, are not chance or haphazard.  This isn’t just bad luck.  They are actually yours; they are specifically yours, designed specifically for you, by a part of you that loves you more than anything else.  The part that loves you more than anything else has created roadblocks to lead you to yourself; it will go to extreme measures to wake you up.  It will make you suffer greatly if you don’t listen; what else can it do?  That’s its purpose.  You can look at problems from the perspective of the issues themselves, or as difficulties to get rid of as fast as possible with the least struggles, or you can look at them from the perspective of them guiding you, the part of you that is guiding you to yourself.  The most difficult things that happen to you on the deepest level are the most compassionate things.”

Gabor Maté

Be a Lamp (Light)
“Be a lamp unto yourselves, don’t look to me.  Be a lamp unto yourselves.”

Buddha

“I’m going to leave you, because if I don’t leave you, you’re not going to find it (Light) within yourself.  But I’m going to send you a comforter, the Holy Spirit.  When you find that light within yourself, you’ll be able to do more powerful things than I‘ve been able to do.”

Jesus
